Captain Ben

Capt. Benjamin “Ben” Lynam is a licensed and certified US Coast Guard Maritime Captain, Maritime Consortium Drug Card & CPR Certified, a true Hilton Head Island native, born and raised, grew up with fishing. Capt. Ben has over 20 years of fishing experience in Hilton Head Island including inshore/nearshore and offshore. Ben has also spent 5 years fishing in Islamorada in the Florida Keys. Ben’s passion is to catch fish, keeping his clients engaged, and tight lines.

When Ben isn’t fishing, he enjoys spending time with his newborn son Colton and his lovely wife Shaylin.

Captain Zack

Capt. Zack Lynam is a licensed and certified US Coast Guard 50 Ton Masters Maritime Captain, Maritime Consortium Drug Card & CPR Certified, a Hilton Head Island native son born and raised in HHI. With over 30 years of fishing experience, he began working as a mate at the age of 13 and earned his captain’s license at the young age of 18. With extensive experience operating fishing charter boats for 30 years, in addition to piloting private sport fish boats and motor yachts,  Zack has traveled the east coast and the Caribbean.

Zack is a family man with 2 young children he and his enchanting wife Tara spend all their free time with their wonderful children.

Captain Joe

Capt. Joseph “Joe” Smith is a licensed and certified US Coast Guard Maritime Captain, Maritime Consortium Drug Card & CPR Certified. Captain Joe has been a very successful fisherman over the years traveling up and down the east coast. Joe’s goal is to make sure you and your family have the best fishing experience.

Tale Hunter strives to run a first class, friendly, and affordable charter fishing service. Customer service and professionalism is very important to us. You are paying for the charter, and you deserve to have a good time. If for some reason Tale Hunter must cancel your trip due to bad weather or mechanical problems or for any other reason, we will refund 100% of your money.
